Summer Country Club Wedding

Mike & Jenny hosted their energetic summer wedding at the Lake Shore Country Club in Erie, Pa. Jodie Farbotnik from Ever After Images was on hand for the couples professional photography. We were pleased to provide Disc Jockey, Day of Coordination, Master of Ceremonies, Uplighting, and Monogram Light. There was a light, airy energy throughout the reception.

Planning Stages

We were referred to the couple by the brides father who is a local wedding photographer. Her father had heard of our reputation for service. Although, we hadn’t had the pleasure of working alongside him personally. We felt very honored to be asked to serve a wedding by another local pro. During our initial meeting with the couple we sat down and went over our routine for planning and execution of their wedding day. We provided them access to our Online Planning Forms. Using the online forms allows couples to plan at their convenience with the assurance that we will have all of their information. As a part of our planning we did a site visit to the hall beforehand to measure and get a good idea of how we’d set up their specialty lighting.

Our Services

Mike & Jenny booked us for DJ with a newer item at the time, Monogram & Uplighting. We were thrilled to be able to provide one of our newer services for the couple. The newlyweds wedding colors did provide a bit of a challenge because it was a light blush pink. Lake Shore Country Club is well lit with a large window behind the head table, which makes placing lighting a bit difficult. We were able to find the perfect spot to decorate this country club wedding with the monogram, however. The couples names shone brightly over their wedding cake. Tom took care of all the tech duties that day. Meanwhile, Eve focused on communicating with the other vendors and bridal party about key moments. During the evening she made important announcements and kept everyone informed.

Country Club Wedding Details

This couples country club wedding had some fun details. To begin with, the cake topper was not your typical decoration. Instead, Mike & Jenny had chosen an adorable figure of a kitten couple dressed in wedding attire. The top tier of the wedding cake was decorated to look like it was covered in delicate lace. The simple, yet elegant monogram light displaying the newlyweds last initial, names, and wedding date was an amazing accent behind the cake cutting. In addition to small unique details, the couple chose to do a fun Shoely Wed Game rendition. Mike & Jenny were sat facing back to back and each removed their shoes. During the game they each held one of their own shoes and one of their partners shoes. Eve asked questions about their relationship. They’d answer by raising the shoe of the person they believed matched that statement. The newlyweds received a point for every time they agreed. In the end, however, we were all winners because it was such a wonderful celebration!

The hard work and dedication put into this wedding is what made it a success. Our team spent about 30 hours in prep work. We communicated with our clients, researched the details and music, and searched for the songs they wanted. Our team spent the time making a venue visit to ensure we brought the necessary equipment to their wedding.  Many hours were also spent communicating with other wedding vendors and creating the best timeline for the newlyweds. On the day of the wedding our team arrived 2 hours prior to the start of cocktails to do a proper set up and sound check. All together the wedding reception was a full 10 hour day for our team. This is the kind of dedication required to make any wedding a success. We’re grateful that Jenny & Mike trusted our team for their biggest day.
